Be careful when you clean your own carpet stains as many cleaners may actually set the stain in the carpet. This can make it nearly impossible to completely remove a stain. To remove a stain, simply blot the spot with a clean white cloth and dry, working from the outside in, rinse thoroughly with clean water, then blot again. Never scrub the carpet, as you risk ruining the carpet fibers.
